LaunchPad PEI Start-Up is Building an Innovative Music Production Solution in Charlottetown


Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada – January 21 st 2017: SongCat Music Inc. has announced it will be expanding its office in Charlottetown. Founded in 2015 with a striking record of completing more than 650 projects, the business is already operating in the U.S. The Prince Edward Island office will focus on building new technology, which will make professional music production more accessible to songwriters and other musicians regardless of location or financial status.

SongCat Music Inc. has a great number of happy clients. It has been operating since January 2015 and has been phenomenally successful. Songwriters, singers, music bands, music directors, lyricists and music producers from all over the world have been working with SongCat to produce their next hit.

Clients have used the help of the company to win several awards and competitions around the world. SongCat was accepted into LaunchPad PEI in September 2016. LaunchPad PEI attracts foreign entrepreneurs to Prince Edward Island and supports qualified founders for Permanent Residency under the Startup Visa Program.

The company has been fundraising heavily in the U.S over the past two months. With a large part of the seed round already committed by U.S. investors, the company is now focusing on closing the investment round with local investors in Atlantic Canada. Several positions, ranging from highly skilled technical positions to customers service positions are opening in the next 12 months. First hires are projected for January 2017.
